Chris Mouse the Christmas Mouse

’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, except for Chris Mouse.
The cookies were out for good old St. Nick,
And Chris Mouse knew his snack had to be quick.

He scurried past the children asleep in their beds,
And quickly jumped over the family dog’s head.
He was making his way to the tasty platter
When out on the lawn there arose a great clatter!

Chris rushed to the window to peek out at the snow.
And what do you think he saw down below?
A plump little man, dressed all in red,
Clutching his ankle and rubbing his head.
