King Midas

King Midas was a good friend of the god Dionysus.

“You can have anything you wish,” the god told the king.

The King was very happy. He was rich, but now he could be richer.

“I want everything I touch to turn to gold,” the King said.

The god was surprised.

“That wish is foolish,” the god said. “Are you sure that is what you want?”

“Yes,” King Midas said.

Dionysus granted King Midas his wish.
