Maddy's Big Meltdown

Maddy was almost six years old. Her mommy and daddy loved her very much.

Maddy was almost always a good girl.

But Maddy had a temper! If she didn’t get her way, watch out!

It was a very hot day in summer when Maddy had her BIG meltdown. It was so hot that everyone was grumpy.

Maddy had corn flakes in the morning, but the milk was warm.

Maddy did not like that. Not one bit!

Later that day, she got a knot in her shoelace. Maddy did not like that, either.

Then her hair got stuck in her brush. Maddy got mad!

Mommy said, “Here, let me help.”

Maddy didn’t want any help. “I can do it myself!” she said.

Her face began to turn red.
