Mr. Twitch and Mr. Squeak

Mr. Twitch was a sweet old mouse
out searching for a bite.
Two days had passed
Since he ate last
So he sniffed around all night.

Alongside the counters, in front of the stove,
and under the rickety chair,
He searched for eight hours
Then ran out of power
And went to rest in his lair.

The very next day he awoke with a groan,
hungrier than ever before.
He stepped outside
To his great surprise
Cheese lay at his door!
