Saint Patrick's Viper Vacuum

In the country of Ireland, Saint Patrick sat on a grassy hill. He was a kind old man. He wanted the people of Ireland to be happy.

At the moment, they were not.

Why weren’t they happy?

“Snakes,” Saint Pat said with a frown. “Too many snakes everywhere!”

And this was true. Coiled under blanket covers. Hiding in cupboards. Tucked in closets. Snakes. Snakes. Snakes.

There were almost as many snakes as people.
