Surfing Santa

It was Christmas Eve in Australia. The Christmas tree was bright with colored lights. Magic was in the air.

Holly and her little brother, Sam, were getting ready for bed.

“Tell me again about Santa,” Sam said.

“He has a white beard and a big belly,” Holly said. “It snows in the North Pole so he wears a warm red suit. He flies on a sleigh that’s pulled by reindeer.”

“But we don’t have snow,” Sam said, “Will it be too hot here for Santa?”

“It has not stopped him before,” Holly said. “Santa will come. Now go to sleep. In the morning we can open our gifts.”
