The Boy Who Snared the Sun

A long time ago a brother and sister lived on the earth. Their names were Mona and Misu.

They were the only people on Earth.

Mona took care of her brother, Misu.

Everyday she gathered food and wood.

She fed her brother and kept him safe.

“Sister,” Misu said one day, “Are we all alone in the world?”

“Yes,” Mona said. “That is why we must stay together in the valley. We must not journey to the land of the Sun.”

This made Misu curious. He wondered what the land of the Sun was like.

So one day, while Mona was gathering wood, he snuck away.
