Turkey for a Pet You Bet

“Let’s get a pet turkey,” Brett said. “A fat one, with bright feathers and a loud gobble!”

Annie rolled her eyes. “You can’t have a turkey for a pet,” she said. “It wouldn’t even do anything cool.”

“My pet turkey would,” Brett argued.

“My pet turkey would help me with my homework,” Brett said.

“No way,” Annie said. “Turkeys can’t read.”

“My pet turkey would ride bikes to school with me,” Brett said.

“Its feet won’t reach the pedals,” Annie giggled.
