David and Goliath

A long time ago, there lived a boy named David.

A prophet had said that David would one day become a great king.

David went to visit King Saul’s army. He was bringing food to his two brothers, who were soldiers.

When he arrived, he found the army very upset.

A giant named Goliath was yelling at them. Goliath was a soldier in the enemy’s army.

He wore metal armor. He held a huge spear and big shield.

Goliath was very scary.
