Penguin City

Joey was on a cruise with his family. He was having a great time. The boat they were on was in the cold waters near Antarctica!

He walked down the deck, snacking on a big bag of buttery popcorn. He tapped the buttons of his favorite video game.

When the bag was empty, he tossed it over the ship’s railing. His hands were so slippery with butter that the game console went flying, too!

“Oh, no!” Joey yelled. “My video game!”

Joey leaned far over the railing and tried to snatch the console out of the air. He leaned too far and fell over the ship’s side.

“Aaaahhhhhh!” he cried as he splashed into the frosty water.

The ocean was freezing. Joey tried to swim after the cruise ship, but it was way too fast.

Soon Joey’s arms and legs got so cold that he couldn’t move them. Then he started to sink.

“What should I do?” he thought as the water sloshed over his head.
