Red Pandas and Blackberries

It is spring in the forest, and the sun is slowly rising over the far away mountains.

The Red Panda, Hong, happily walks through the forest. He walks gently on the melting snow. He cannot wait to taste the first berries of spring.

A drop of cold water falls from an icicle onto his stubby white snout. It tickles.

He sneezes, shakes his furry head, and wipes the snow from his whiskers.

“Good morning! What brings you here, Red Panda?” a voice calls.

Hong stops, he raises his ears, and looks around. A bright orange bird with spotted wings and long brown tail feathers steps out from behind a fern.
