The Game of the Moon

Long ago, Khonsu, the god of the moon, showed his full face every night. His beautiful light lit up the world.

But he was a greedy god. He wanted other powers, as well.

One day, Thoth, the god of wisdom and magic, came to visit Khonsu.

“Play a game of Senet with me,” Khonsu challenged. “If you win, I will give you some of my moonlight.”
