The Ghosts of Samhain Road

If you go out this Halloween, try to find Samhain Road. You’ll be glad if you do.

It’s farther than you’ve ever walked at night.

It’s where the plants creep and curl close to you, and the lamps flicker like old candlelight.

When you see the shadows move but the trees keep still, and clouds shroud the moon, you will know the road has led you far from home.

But you must not be afraid.

Go around a turn and down a bank. Then the ghosts will come out, one by one.

They hop and roll and knock their heads.
