The Mayflower Adventure

Elizabeth received a gift from her mom.

“A new puppy!” Elizabeth cried, hugging the dog. “I’ll call him Plymouth.” She had been forced to leave her first puppy in England.

“He can keep you company on the ship to the New World,” her mom said.

The ship they sailed on was called the Mayflower. They were sailing to America.

For the first month, Elizabeth and Plymouth had fun on the journey. They played hide-and-seek. They chased each other around the deck.

One night, a storm hit.

Lightning cracked above the ship. The loud BOOM made Plymouth jump in fear. He ran out onto the deck.
