The Monster from the Purple Lagoon

Peter jumped into bed. His dad sat next to him. “Let’s read a story,” Dad said.

“Let’s read Monster from the Purple Lagoon,” Peter said.

Dad smiled. “I like that story,” he said.

Dad read in his monster voice. “A monster lives in the purple lagoon.”

Peter’s eyes opened wide.

Dad read more. “On a full moon, the monster comes out.”

“Tonight is a full moon,” said Peter.

“Yes, it is,” said Dad.
