The Tiny Shoe Maker

One day long ago, an old man came home after a hard day plowing his fields.

He was tired and flopped down into his favorite chair. He sat in front of the fire.

He warmed his cold feet and toes.

Then he heard strange sounds. He put his hand next to his ear and listened. It sounded like a tiny hammer hitting tiny nails.

He stood up and opened his front door.

The sound was coming from the stable.

He tiptoed slowly up to the stable and looked inside.

He was amazed at what he saw.
