Tristan and Isult

Long ago, King Mark ruled the kingdom of Tintagel. One thing made him sad: his son, Tristan, was not married.

Tristan was waiting for true love. “A sign from the sky will bring me to my princess,” he said.

One day, while Tristan sat in his bedroom a sparrow flew through the window. Tristan had never seen a sparrow like this before. He knew it had come from far away.

In the sparrow’s beak was a long, golden strand of hair.

“This hair must belong to a very beautiful princess,” said Tristan. “This is the sign I have been waiting for. This princess is my true love.”

The King was overjoyed. Tristan and his men set out to find the princess.
