Hedgehog's Lazy Summer

It was a bright, sunny summer day. A hedgehog walked down a forest path. He was on his way to the pond where his friends liked to swim and play.

Along the way, he saw a squirrel. The squirrel was collecting acorns and carrying them up a tall tree to his nest.

“Hello, squirrel!” the hedgehog said. “Would you like to go to a party with me? We’ll be swimming and playing games!”

“Sorry,” the squirrel said. “I would like to go, but I have to gather acorns. Winter will be here soon.”
