Wendall’s Thanksgiving Surprise

Wendall the Turkey did not like Thanksgiving. “It’s all stuffing and nonsense,” he said.

“Don’t be grumpy, Wendall!” the little turkeys laughed. “Holidays are nice. Be happy for what you have.”

“Humph!” said Wendall. “I won’t stand for it. I declare, right now, that I hate Thanksgiving!”

Old Buzzard Turkey clucked at that. “Now, Wendall. You shouldn’t say things you might regret.”

“I will not regret it,” Wendall said. He strutted about. He liked being grumpy.

“Besides, who likes a holiday with no gifts?” Wendall asked.
